The great Buddhist teacher Thich Nhat Hanh once said, “The most precious gift we can offer others is our presence.” When I began working as a student advisor at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, I hung that quote on my wall, and it continues to be a driving force in how I try to live each day.
in 2015, I moved to Seattle and after working for the University of Washington for a time, I returned to my home state of Wisconsin to branch out and explore the private sector, managing teams and mentoring independent business owners seeking to make their dreams a reality. In 2019, I returned to the Pacific Northwest to pursue my own dreams and finally made my home in Portland.
I’m excited to be currently working through the second year of my Master’s degree in Counseling Education with an emphasis in clinical mental health, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to support clients here at the clinic. It’s my hope that with mindful presence and attention (even via email) I can help support clients seeking to better their lives and improve their mental health.
Outside of work and school, I love exploring all that Oregon and the Pacific Northwest has to offer. I spend as much time as possible hiking, enjoying the city’s amazing pizza scene, playing board games with my chosen family, and greeting as many dogs as possible on trips to the park.
